Jonas Waidringer is an associate professor of industrial economics at the University of Borås and leads the research group with the same name. He received his PhD at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg in the field of transport and logistics. His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), modeling of complex systems and digital decision support. He has been involved in over 30 national and international projects as a project manager or principal investigator, especially in the areas of sustainable logistics, urban mobility and knowledge-based methods. He is also active in interdisciplinary research alliances.

Kaya Kuru received the B.Sc. degree from the National Defense University (Turkish Military Academy), the ADP/Major degree in computer engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), the M.B.A. degree from Selçuk University, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science/medical Informatics from METU. He completed his postdoctoral studies with the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, U.K. He is a Software Engineer and currently an Associate Professor of computer-information systems engineering. He has recently engaged in the implementation of numerous AI-based real-world systems within various funded projects. His research interests include the development of geo-distributed autonomous intelligent systems using FL, ML, DL, and DRL with CPSs.

Dr. Alberto Garcia Penas is associate professor in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at University Carlos III of Madrid. Furthermore, he is Director of the master's degree in Circular Engineering, Secretary for Academic Affairs of "Álvaro Alonso Barba" Institute of Chemistry and Materials Technology, Founder of the Cirmat Symposium, Computer Council Member, and Laboratory Safety Officer at University Carlos III of Madrid. The outcome of his research work includes more than 60 SCI-publications in reputed journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Carbohydrate Polymers or Chemosphere. He contributed to 5 book chapters and edited 2 books.

Hazrat Bilal (Member of IEEE, CAS-TWAS Fellow) received his MS degree in Control Science and Engineering in 2018 from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing, China, and his PhD degree in Control Science and Engineering in 2024 from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, Anhui, respectively. He is currently a full-time Research Fellow at the College of Mechatronics and Control Engineering, Shenzhen University, China. His research interests include robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, Internet of robotic things (IoRT), and artificial intelligence. In 2018, considering his research achievement, the Nanjing University of Science and Technology awarded him the Outstanding Graduate Award, while the University of Science and Technology of China awarded him the CAS-TWAS Fellow Award. He is currently a member of IEEE, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, and IEEE Control Systems Society. Mr. Bilal has many publications in IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer brands.

Roberta Assis Costa is a Mechanical Production Engineer with a degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), a postgraduate specialization in Quality Engineering, and a Master's degree in Production Engineering from Fluminense Federal University (UFF).
